Survey to investigate the impact of the cost of living crisis over the past 12 months

The current cost of living crisis has affected many people and community, voluntary and public sector partnerships in the city are keen to know more about this. This survey explores what life has been like for you over the past 12 months and is aimed at Dundee residents aged 16 years and over. We ask you to complete the survey on your own behalf and where relevant reflect the experience of your household in general.

Changes to some services provided by the GP Practice

Some services previously carried out in the GP surgery will now be carried out at Dundee Care and Treatment Centres. The services concerned are - blood tests, blood pressure measuring, pulse rate, urinalysis, height and/or weight measurement, wound care and certain injections.

The locations for these Care and Treatment Centres are Broughty Ferry Health Centre, Hillbank Health Centre, Lochee Health Centre, Maryfield Medical Centre, Wallacetown Health Centre, Westgate Health Centre, Whitfield Health Centre and for wound care at weekends only a clinic will be held at Roxburgh House Day Patient Area.

If you are required to have any of the above services, you will be given a number to call to make an appointment at the site which carries out your specific procedure.

If you don't have a smart phone do not worry you will be contacted by telephone.

Lunchtime Closing

We will close at lunchtime every day from 12.45pm to 13.45pm. This is to allow for staff training and practice meetings.

In an emergency you can call 457196, but this number must not be used for any routine matters.

Cost of living concerns

We are aware that many of you will be concerned about rising energy prices.

We also know that there can be health consequences from living in a cold home.

The Practice Email address has been set up for specific purposes. For example if you are asked to send in a photo of your skin condition.

Any medical queries or prescription requests emailed in will not be processed.

Repeat Prescriptions

Because of the volume of prescriptions we currently process, it may take up to 7 days for a prescription request to be completed.

Prescriptions can be ordered by handing in your paper repeat order form, via the telephone by calling 214433 and leave a message, or by registering for our online prescription ordering service. Pick up a registration form from the surgery.

Increased Rates of Gonorrhoea in Tayside

• Only 50% of women show symptoms (cervical infection)

• 90% of men will typically show symptoms from a urethral (penile) infection.

• Most common symptoms include pain or burning when you pee and urethral discharge for men, and unusual discharge and bleeding after sex for women.

Clinic to make an appointment. Call, 01382 425542 between 9am and 12pm, Monday to Friday to book an

appointment. You will be triaged via a phone call first.
